Brief:

Our clients came to us with a concept plan and asked us to review and refine the design and take the project forward to construction. The house had been in their family for many years and required a complete re plan and extension.

Design Constraints:

Neighbouring conditions had to be considered as the rear yard of the subject site had 5 intersecting backyards. A large tree in the back yard that was to be retained, required careful consideration in the design.

Design Resolution:

the large skillion roof tot he rear was designed to achieve a dramatic volume tot he rear living spaces as well as obtain northern light that would not be blocked by the northern neighbour.

Floor Area (excl. decks/terraces): 198sqm

Construction: 12 months
