Gary Windiate – Director / Architect
Windiate Architects was set up in 2007 by Gary Windiate, who wanted to work more closely with his clients changing old/poorly planned houses into well planned and thought through family homes. A seasoned architect with more than 25 years of experience in Australia and the UK. Gary has worked for some of Victoria’s best-known architectural practices, including Daryl Jackson, Jackson Clements Burrows, and Wood Marsh, and holds an A+ membership from the Australian Institute of Architects and Architectural registration both in Victoria and Queensland. While Windiate Architects has grown into a thriving and personalized practice, Gary continues to dedicate his personal design and creative expertise to every project the practice takes on – be they complex residential renovations or bespoke individual homes.

Matthew Whittle – Documenter
Matthew has over 20yrs of experiencing documenting a variety of project types from education, public / civic works, large scale multi-residential to small scale residential projects.  Matthew focuses on providing coordinated drawings, schedules and documentation as well as client and consultant coordination to achieve the best outcome for our clients, the site and the design. Matthew has a keen eye for detail in construction and documentation and a thorough and dedicated work ethic.

Interns
Windiate Architects is connected to three internationally recognized internship programs and gives back to the industry by providing learning opportunities to overseas interns, looking to gain local architectural experience.

Work Experience
Windiate Architects have connections with local schools to provide year 10 work experience for those interested in seeing what working in an architectural practice has to offer, again an opportunity for Gary to give back to those considering architecture as their future vocation.
