Brief:
In collaboration with architect Lincoln Barker we have been commissioned to transform a modest weatherboard beach house in Lorne into a more robust and open home that can cater for today’s lifestyle and the clients growing family with better connections between the house and the external spaces.
Design Constraints:
The site is steep with existing stone faced retaining walls to the back yard and a water easement to one boundary. We had to work out how to carry out minimal renovations with maximum return on function.
Design Resolution:
To carry out a simple renovation to create better connection to the back yard from the house as well as provide a face lift to the 2 tired bathrooms.
