Brief:

To expand the house to accommodate a growing family, by removing the single storey rear lean too, and replacing it with a 2 storey rear extension, ensuring the family can grow and stay in the area they love.

Design Constraints:

The site is narrow and long, with a laneway to the side.

Design Resolution:

With parks close by we did not feel a large backyard was needed. We created a stepped façade to the laneway so as not to have a dominant second level and let the existing house retain its own identity.
